Three goals in the first period helped pace the Saint John Seadogs to a 7-4 win over Gatineau to open their second round Q-League series.
Stanislav Galiev led the charge with five points including two goals.
Penalty problems in the second period let the Olympique tie the game at three before a late goal in the second sealed the victory.
Galiev tells CHSJ News, penalties and not sticking to the game plan can lead to trouble.
Just over 4600 fans were on hand to watch Saint John out-shoot Gatineau 33-19. Game two is tonight, also at the Station. Game time is seven o'clock.
