Fellow politicians rallying around embattled former city councillor John
Ferguson. The committee to elect John Campbell organizing a rally in
front of the show its support for Ferguson. After 5 years of legal back
and forth, he's been slammed with a defamation lawsuit by the the board
of trustees of the City of Saint John Employee Pension Plan.

Campbell says his group feels Ferguson's remarks were made as an elected official, and not as a private citizen with malice--which would count as defamation. The rally will be held in front of the court house on February 14th at 8:30 am, before the trial begins.
