The first Law Enforcement Torch Run in Greater Saint John is in the books.
Police officers and students took part in a run from Rothesay to Saint John all in support of Special Olympic athletes.
Corporal Mary Henderson of the Rothesay Regional Police Force tells CHSJ News one of the reasons she took part is she loves to run.
She tells us she also has a daughter with special needs who is too young to run now but will be taking part in the future.
Torch runs are simultaneously taking place in Saint John, Fredericton, Rothesay, Bathurst and Moncton.
All proceeds raised will go to Special Olympics in New Brunswick.
