Household Hazardous Waste Being Collected

You get your chance over the next two days to get rid of much of your household hazardous waste by taking it to the Irving Oil Refinery for recycling.

Sam Robinson tells CHSJ News they will accept old aerosol cans, furniture polish, nail polish remover, gas, antifreeze, insect repellent, oven cleaners, automotive transmission fluid, batteries, old propane tanks, paints, weed killer kerosene and roofting tar.

You cannot drop off TV monitors, ammunition, asbestos waste, unidentified compressed gas cylinders along with material that's unclassified or unidentified.

The collection starts at the projects entrance off Grandview Avenue from 4 this afternoon to 7 and tomorrow from 9 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon.
