The Freedom Writers Diary has been chosen for the Big Rothesay Read.
Its a book about how a teacher and 150 teens used writing to change themselves by getting college degrees and the world around them.
The book was written in 1999 by a group of high school students in Long Beach, California and their teacher which was turned into a movie in 2007 starring Hilary Swank.
