Repair work on the Mispec River Bridge is causing concern for the Conservation Council. It has reported to the Coast Guard and Environment Department that work crews on the bridge are sweeping concrete and old paint into the mouth of the river. Spokes-person Dave Thompson tells CHSJ News, has hasn't been to the site but has received plenty of calls:
The endangered species Thompson is speaking of is one of the inner Bay of Fundy salmon populations. Thompson hopes if there is some wrong-doing, action will be taken before work on the bridge resumes on Monday.
