No was was hurt, but the Thistle St. Andrews curling club suffering heavy fire damage after a blaze early last night.

City fire crews getting the call just around 7 about the blaze originating in the kitchen area of the building on Dufferin Avenue.

The 911 call coming in as a possible explosion as the force of the water in the building blew out part of a wall.

Firefighters had to smash in a glass door to gain entry into the building and once inside found the sprinkler system was working to douse some of the flames.
