Rothesay Still Undecided On Sports Facility

Rothesay council still trying to decide whether to build a new multi-purpose sports facility in the area or a new ice surface.

Mayor Bill Bishop tells CHSJ News the recreation committee has done up a report but the project is still being looked into.

He says staff are now trying to figure out where the proper place for it would be and trying to get a handle on cost.

Bishop says the possibility of Saint John putting a field house at Exhibition Park won't have any affect on Council's decision.

He says if Rothesay does decide to build a sports complex it will be more for basket ball, volley ball and seniors than for sports that require artificial turf.
