Traffic Calming Program To Become Permanent

People in the Southwood Drive subdivision in Quispamsis being forced to slow down with speed bumps now going in place.

The bumps were installed this time last year on Southwood Drive, Lexington Avenue and Minstrel Drive after the subdivision became a heavily used short-cut to the Vincent Road.

Mayor Murray Driscoll says last year's traffic calming program proved effective.

He says the rubber cushions in place now are temporary until the bumps can be permanently paved in.
