The event is supported by both the Atlantic Coastal Action Program and the South West Solid Waste
Commission in an effort to reduce the threat of illegal dumping, to relive pressure on landfills, and to encourage recycling. Electronic equipment can contain lead, mercury, and cadmium which can leach into the environment if not properly disposed of.
You can drop off your old monitors, towers, and laptops at their office at 881 Main Street in Blacks Harbour anytime between 8:30 and 4 Monday to Friday or at the South West Solid Waste Commission site in Lawrence Station.
