Seafood Sold In New Brunswick Could Contain Botulism Causing Bateria

Bottles of seafood sold in New Brunswick could contain a bacteria that produces toxins that can cause botulism, a life threatening illness.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning the public not to eat St. Thomas bottled lobster, bar clams and bar clam stew because the products could be contaminated. The products were sold in the province and possibly in other provinces as well.

All sizes and codes of the products made on or after Jan. 4, 2011 are affected.
