The smell of barbecue will be wafting in the air today, as Port Saint John celebrates its Port Days' kickoff event, Community Day.
Paula Small of Port Saint John tells CHSJ News it began three years ago as a way to bring the port and the public closer together and has grown since then.
There's going to be activities and displays that the public can check out from the parking lot adjacent to the Coastguard site straight through to the Diamond Jubilee Cruise Terminal.
Small says that there will be bouncy castles, a mobile arcade, face-painting and displays about both the port and the cruise tourism side of the industry, and more. It runs from 11am to 3 pm.
