That is the idea behind Summer in the Square-a concert series in King Square.
Tracy Hanson of Uptown Saint John tells CHSJ News they wanted to showcase our great local talent.
She says during the month of July the performances will be in the City market and hopefully by August they can move into King Square when the bandstand renovation is finished.
Hanson says during the week people will see hour-long performances by solo artists, theatre groups and on Saturday the performances will be two hours.
