Two Die In Charlie Lake Crash

A man and woman from Perth-Andover are dead after a crash on Highway 2 in Charlie Lake.

Early Tuesday afternoon, the driver of a pickup heading eastbound lost control hitting the gravel shoulder and flipped throwing two passengers more than 30 metres from the vehicle.

49 year old Donald Alan McQuade and 42-year-old Lisa Dawn Hitchcock both died and the driver, a 44-year-old man from Carlingford, remains in hospital with serious injuries.

The two victims were not wearing seatbelts and RCMP believe the driver was going the speed limit at the time of the crash.
