Latest Word From Department of Health on H1N1

Decline continues to be the word when it comes to H1N1 activity around the Province. 170 people have been sent to hospital since the pandemic began back in April. 32 were in intensive care and 26 of those had underlying medical conditions. The death toll still stands at seven..........four men and three women. As far as the supply of vaccine, 92,500 doses arrived this week with 70,000 more expected to arrive next week.

Mass clinics will continue until the 18th but some will finish sooner than that. To this point, 55% of the population has received the shot with more clinics today in Greater Saint John. There is one at Lawrence Station starting at one and running until eight. The Barrack Green Armoury is hosting one as well until nine tonight and there is also one at Portland United Church in the North End until 3:30pm this afternoon.
