Cause Of First Street Fire Not Ready For Release

The Saint John Fire Department still conducting their investigation into what caused the May 1st blaze that gutted a three-storey apartment building on First Street and left one person dead

Acting Deputy Chief Kevin Clifford tells CHSJ News the department was planning to release the cause of the fire this week but investigators are still conducting interviews.

Clifford would not say when the investigation will wrap up.
