All the hard work and community support paying off as Island View school's students, staff, teachers, parents and friends celebrate the grand opening their new outdoor classroom.The west side school won money to build it through the Majesta Trees of Knowledge contest.
Principal Mark Blucher tells CHSJ News everyone at the school especially the students could not wait for this day to come.
He says they have been counting down all week with announcements and now the kids can start learning outside.
Students got right to work with projects in the outdoor classroom and they also added mulch to a new maple tree planted near the school.
