The province giving the arts a financial shot in the arm -- the Department of Culture, Tourism and Healthy Living writing a cheque for 23-thousand dollars to the Saint John Theatre Company.

The money will used to provide high-level training and coaching for actors in its upcoming production of Romeo and Juliet.

Artistic Director Stephen Tobias tells CHSJ News bringing in experts will benefit not only the performers but the theatre company will get to learn best practices from its peers.

Some of the experts being brought in to enhance the production include Albert Schultz from the Soulpepper Theatre Company and fight choreographer Jean-Francois Gagnon.

Romeo and Juliet will run from May 17th to the 19th at the Imperial Theatre.
