Heavy Water Spill At Point Lepreau

NB Power informing the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission about a water spill in the reactor building at Point Lepreau.

It's believed about 300 litres of heavy water spilled on Monday when a valve was opened too soon.

The water was not released to the environment and the plant staff were not exposed.
NB Power says procedures were followed to to protect staff and recover the heavy water for reuse.
