The seat is hardly cold yet a name is already in the mix to fill the Rothesay MLA seat left behind by Margaret-Ann Blaney.
Charlotte McGill Pierce is a local member of the District Education Council and is seeking the Rothesay PC Association nomination for the job.
McGill Pierce has served on the District 6 Education Council for the past four years and is currently the president of the Fairvale Elementary Home and School Association. She say education concerns will continue to be a top priority.
The seat is up for grabs with the announced resignation of Margaret-Ann Blaney, who left to run Efficiency NB.
The nomination meeting is scheduled for June 2 to be held at the Bill McGuire Center in Rothesay.
