Talks Are Ongoing To Reduce Noise From Scrap Metal

American Iron and Metal wants to do the right thing when it comes to lowering noise levels when scrap metal is being loaded onto ships at the port on the west side.

That, from Jim Quinn, President and C-E-O of the Port Authority, who tells CHSJ News the noise will always be louder in the summer.

Quinn says the next time scrap metal will be loaded onto ships won't be until sometime in November or December at the earliest.

In the meantime, discussions are underway to mitigate the noise.
