Businessman Says He's Ready To Spend Big Bucks On Synagogue

Normand Hector of N-W-H Modelling says he's prepared to spend 100 thousand dollars and maybe more to renovate the former Synagogue on Carleton Street at Wellington Row.

Hector tells CHSJ News he would use the building to stage fashion shows and hold self-esteem and self confidence programs for young people.

There's another idea from Common Councillor Gerry Lowe to renovate the building into office space for the city and non-profit organisations but Hector points out Saint John has too much empty office space already.

He predicts you're going to see more growth taking place in the area of Peel Plaza.
