Postal Workers Could Strike In 72 hours

Canada Post workers could be heading to the picket line this week.

Wally Moore is the President of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers in Saint John and he tells CHSJ News they have put forward their final offer to Canada Post this morning in an effort to prevent a strike.  He says if no headway is made then workers could be on strike as early as Thursday morning.

Employees have been in negotiations for about 7 months.

Moore says the main sticking points of the deal is reduced wages for new employees and proposed changes to their sick leave plan.
