This may come as a shock to some -- despite a lot of people suggesting we need an air link to Boston -- figures from the Saint John airport suggest Beantown isn't the top U-S destination for local travellers.
Airport president Bernie LeBlanc says Washington D-C followed closely by Las Vegas are the top two destinations doubling the numbers flying to Boston -- and -- he tells CHSJ News that presents a marketing challenge.

Meantime -- Westjet is set to return to the city for the summer months with a daily round trip service beginning on the 15th of this month.

The land hasn't even been cleared yet and the Q-Plex is bringing home awards. It was honored with the Benefit to Society Award in conjunction with Fundy Engineering and Consulting. Quispamsis Mayor Murray Driscoll tells CHSJ News, it showcases the project's environmental aspects.

Town Officials are still waiting to hear back from the architect. The design for the facility has been sent back to see if $2.7 million can be taken from the total cost with-out jeopardizing the integrity of the building.

Over 200 volunteers have strapped on their rubber boots and gloves for this years spring clean-up of Marsh Creek. This is the 12th year for the project hosted by the Atlantic Coastal Action Program. Executive Director Tim Vickers tells CHSJ News, with all of the awareness today about illegal dumping, it's hard to believe the amount of trash they continue to find in this waterway.

Vickers says most people know Marsh Creek for the nasty look and smell over the last two kilometers but in the area near Majors Brook, there is clean water and fish living in it.
