The Saint John Animal Rescue League is facing a tough decision as it prepares to euthanize 17 cats that have been living at the shelter since October. Director Janet Foster tells CHSJ news they are over-run with 169 cats and kittens and are forced to make room for more.
Foster says they are giving the cats until Monday to find a home and is hoping people will come in and adopt right away. She says people can also sponsor a pet for those who can't afford to have it spayed or neutered. All pets adopted must be fixed, but at a fraction of the normal cost.
