A St. Andrews historical site is looking for partners to help sustain operations.Minister's Island is looking for a partner in helping preserve the 500 acre spot like it was almost a 100 years ago when Sir William Van Horne made it his summer estate.Managing Director Gerald McEachern tells CHSJ News, they are looking to put a 21st century twist on the island, but nothing that doesn't fit a few guidelines.
McEachern says partnerships are needed on the island, because tourism revenues are not generating enough to sustain the property. He says there were originally 22 buildings on the island in Van Hornes time, and there are only 11 left.
