The Lower Cove Overpass on Riverview Drive East near Sussex will be down to one lane for about 12 weeks while repair work is carried out.
The Department of Transportation is replacing expansion joints, repairing the bridge deck, applying new waterproofing and repaving the 42-year-old structure.
Motorists should expect delays during the construction period.
