A free eye-testing program for kids starting kindergarten in District 8 a big success.
Superintendent Susan Tipper tells CHSJ News the Optometrists Association Dr. Joanne Henderson came to her offering to do the tests for free and she says they took them up on it.
323 children got eye tests and over 20 per cent had a deficit that required glasses.
Tipper tells us the program will be back.
