Criticism about government spending by the provincial auditor-general being welcomed by the Atlantic Director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.
Kevin Lacey tells CHSJ News the M-L-A's gold plated pension plan is one of the reasons the province finds itself facing a fiscal crisis.
Lacey says the previous Liberal government increased spending from 2006 and 2007 by an unprecedented 1.7 billion dollars, an increase of over 20 per cent, which he calls reckless and unsustainable.
