It may surprise you to learn that this province has 35 senior goodwill ambassadors representing each of the 15 counties.
They are appointed by the Social Development Minister for a two-year volunteer term.
Murray Carpenter of Saint John tells CHSJ News he was nominated by a friend.
He says the job is to promote New Brunswick every chance they get and he says he likes to work with seniors at the Wellness clinics at the Loch Lomond Villa and in other locations.
Carpenter represents Saint John county and adds his duties include welcoming events.
Nominations close on Friday for anyone who might be interested in being a senior goodwill ambassador. For more info..click here.
