Acting District Fire Chief Kevin Clynick tells CHSJ News the call came in around 5 this afternoon.
He says the call had flames showing and on arrival they had a significant fire.
He says the Irving safety response team acted quickly and already had water on the blaze when their crews arrived. He says their ladder truck began adding water and the fire was quickly extinguished.
District Fire Chief Clynick describes the fire as kind of a fluke because it took place in an area that is normally not used but is in use this time of year during the facility's annual shutdown.
