Premier Alward is keeping his cards close to his chest when it comes to the possibility of legal action over cost overruns associated with the Point Lepreau upgrade.
Alward tells CHSJ News he's said from the beginning his government will do whatever is necessary with the Lepreau issue - but - at this point in time he believes the right thing is to be doing the work needed to get the nuclear power plant back online.
Atomic Energy of Canada has experienced a number of problems as it replaced fuel channels in the reactor at the nuclear power plant with start up now scheduled for September of this year -- three years late.
N-B Power says it's paying a million dollars a day for replacement power since the plant went offline.
