Bill To Repeal City Pension Plan Being Introduced

Word from the legislature this morning that a bill to repeal the Saint John Pension Act is being introduced.

The new mayor and council passed a motion in a special meeting on Wednesday night to have the act repealed.

Mayor Mel Norton said this move will allow council to have more control over the pension without needing approval of the Legislature.
