When it comes to Saint John, Mark Wilson of the Fire Department tells CHSJ news open burning isn't allowed in city limits. What is allowed to burn is approved fire appliances, and products that have a safety standard sticker on them along with spark resisters.
Wilson recommends people to be careful when burning, adding you should burn 'clean' wood, have water nearby, and watch your distance to other combustibles.
