A weather service hearing reports of a twister possibly touching down and wreaking havoc in areas across the province.
Andy Firth, a meteorologist with Environment Canada, tells CHSJ News they've received calls of possible tornado damage, calls which are largely concentrated in communities east of Fredericton. He says the reports are coming from Jemseg, Cambridge-Narrows and Whites Cove.
Firth tells us they've alerted the service group of Environment Canada to let them know what happened, and then they'll have to make that call later today or on Monday to assemble a team and do a site survey.
