Don't be surprised if you see additional flaring and louder than normal noise coming from the Irving Oil refinery. Spokes-person Leslie McLeod tells CHSJ News, crews have finished maintenance work on the cat-cracker unit and the flaring and noise will be part of the process as they bring the unit back on line over the new few days.
Homes in the area are being notified and crews will try and limit this work to day-time hours. No major problems were discovered during the maintenance work.
