Peel Plaza Courthouse to be Publicly Funded

The provincial courthouse heading North of Union is going to be publicly funded afterall.
Supply and Services Minister Ed Doherty is announcing the province will be taking the public route after several applications from public-private companies proved to be too expensive.
Doherty says a publicly funded project is proving to be a more cost-effective and efficient way of doing the work.
Tenders for the courthouse to be apart of Peel Plaza will be issued shortly with work hoping to begin in early 2010. The $53 million dollar project is expected to be complete by summer of 2012.
