The lights are back on in the south end and the uptown area.
The area was in the dark for about 4 hours when the lights went off around 2 this morning. Power came back at around 6.
Germain Street between King and Union remains closed after a window blew out at the Aliant Building around noon yesterday.
Meanwhile, Bay Ferries is cancelling the 9am deparature of the Princess of Acadia to Digby due to the weather.
The wind and rain are also causing power outages throughout the rest of the province.
Hundreds are without power in the St. Stephen, Fredericton, Sussex, and Rothesay areas.
