Alyssa Bannister is in her fourth year studying Psychology and she heard about the contest through a friend who posted a link to the challenge on Facebook.
The New Brunswick Securities Commission promoted the challenge to encourage youth to become more financially fit. The national contest tested the knowledge of competitors on personal finance concepts including saving and investing.
