The body of a 35-year-old man has been recovered from the Nashwaak River.
Fredericton police say they responded to a 911 call about two people in distress in the river around 11:30 yesterday morning. Police and firefighters were able to guide one young man to shore safely, but a search was soon launched for the second when his body was found about five hours later.
Police say foul play is not suspected. An autopsy will be performed later this week.
