After the RCMP received a 911 call that the man was yelling for help, RCMP, paramedics and the the fire department responded and managed to retrieve the man from the water.
The man was wearing a personal floatation device, which the RCMP say was instrumental in saving his life. He was brought to hospital where he was treated and then released.
