Karen Riley tells CHSJ News that idea was at the forefront of her mind when she organized the women's fundraiser, It's a Girl Thing, which packs a variety of activities into a three-hour block; she calls it one stop shopping.
There's 35 booths at today's event, where you can get tips on everything from skin care and haircare to interior decorating. It runs from 1-4pm at the Saint John Arts Centre and admission costs $6.
