There was one notable person absent at the nomination of Simonds High principal Gary Keating who will run for the Liberals in Saint John Fundy.
Longtime M-L-A Stuart Jamieson, who resigned from the provincial cabinet and left the Liberal caucus over NB Power, was not on hand.
Keating, who has served as President of the Saint John Fundy Liberal Association, tells CHSJ News he is disappointed and was told Jamieson was on vacation.
In accepting the nomination, Keating promised he will listen and be accessible.
He also argues the Liberal government has proven how committed it is to Saint John.
Premier Shawn Graham concedes the road hasn't always been smooth and some days it hasn't been easy being a Liberal.
