Municipal Operations is recommending plowing around Peel Plaza be upgraded with an expected increase in traffic when the courts open and police move into their new headquarters building. Ward 4 Councillor Ray Strowbridge wanted snow plowing along Red Head Road be upgraded but no change is being recommended. Strowbridge tells CHSJ news he doesn't agree with the recommendation plowing be upgraded at the new Peel Plaza and not Red Head road. He says Red Head road is the main route for that community and the only road that police, ambulance and other emergency vehicles can use to get out there efficiently.
The city is also reporting more than 13 hundred potholes were repaired from December of last year to this past April.
