Crews have been able to isolate where the watermain broke.
Other people in the area will experience low water pressure and are being asked to reduce water use as much as possible.
The Regional Hospital, U-N-B Saint John and Canadian Blood Services have been advised of the situation.
It's expected the repairs will take most of the day.
