Skirtboarders are a team of women from Canada and Sweden who skateboard. They are in the Port City to promote the sport to local girls. Jason MacLean of the Fundy Skateboard Association tells CHSJ News that women are better at this because they prevail at sports that require balance so it's a natural fit.
A demo and clinic for the City of Saint John playground program is coming up this morning at 10 at the Somerset Community Centre.
A free clinic is coming up at noon at the skateboard park along Station street near Harbour Station.
A demonstration will be held tonight at 6 also at the Skateboard park.
