Perhaps it's biggest fan is very sad to hear of the closure of the AQ.
Saint John-born musician Julian Austin took to Facebook to mourn the loss of his favourite place in the world.
In a call from his current home in Manitoba, Austin tells CHSJ News for those who have a history with the Aquarius Tavern, especially West-siders, it's sad to see it close.
He says when he comes home he checks in at the Travelodge across the street and then heads to the AQ for a cold beer and to shoot the breeze with old friends.
In the late 80's, Austin was a bouncer at the bar and in later years performed with his first band and then in his solo career.
Austin is hoping to get a peice of the bar which he plans to turn into a tribute guitar to the AQ that he can play for the rest of his days.
