The Port Authority says it's moving forward with more upgrades to its facilities especially on the west side.
Chairman Stephen Campbell tells CHSJ news work is continuing on expansion of the cruise berths at Pugsley terminal on Water Street.
Campbell says the Authority is also working with the federal Department of Fisheries and local fishermen to establish a small craft harbour on the lower west side while Long Wharf is also being looked at for future upgrades.
Figures released at the Port Authority's annual general meeting this morning show 2010 was one of the most successful years financially since the port authority was established 15-years ago -- the port ended up with a net income of 3.4-million dollars last year.
