Erin Heeney with Ducks Unlimited tells CHSJ News it's important to teach students the important role wetlands play in their own backyard as they can prevent flooding and host various ecosystems.
She says the city has an abundance of wetlands, salt marshes, and ecosystems which everyone should be proud of and not take for granted.
